FC10 on Latitude E6400
Installing Fedora Core 10 on a Latitude E6400 is easy as one two three!
all *basic* functionality seems to be working:
- wireless and wired networking
- touchpad and mouse gestures
- optimal resolution
- 3-d direct rendering at 1k+ frames per second + desktop effects
- hotkeys for display brightness, volume, print screen, etc..
- SD card reader
yayee for gnu/linux and fedora!!
12/21/08 update:
Bug 1:
After leaving the laptop idle for 30 minutes or so while connected to AC power i came back to find the laptop completely unresponsive. Only a hard reboot (holding power button down for 2 seconds) was able to recover control. Changing the power settings to "do nothing" no matter how long it has been idle has not resolved the issue.
Bug 2:
Computer froze during workspace switching. Disabling 3-d effects seems to have resolved this.
